Since, Chris, 33 signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2014, he truly solidified his status in the league. recently, as the leading kicker in the NFL, he stunned many. He recently secured his AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award. For the second time, this season, he earned his honor after impressively making six field goals against the Ravens. Clearly, with his mom, and dad, Rick Boswell’s support he continues to showcase his dominance in the high stakes of the football world.
Allegedly, Steelers placekicker shares a healthy bond with his mom, Dawn Boswell. She has been the greatest source of his inspiration. Dawn Boswell has stood behind him throughout his journey. But, seemingly, despite being the NFL star’s mom, she prefers to stay away from the limelight. And, her locked Instagram account is evidence of this. However, her bond with her son is quite a well-known factor among NFL fans.
The mother-son’s bond previously went viral. Earlier, he made waves by gifting a house for his loving mom in December 2020. Through an Instagram post, the NFL placekicker expressed his heartfelt emotions for his mom. through this, seemingly he could manage small things for his mom. Along with sharing the beautiful picture of his mom at the house backdrop, he gave a touchy caption to his post.
“My life goal to buy my mom a house is complete! Always made sure we had everything we needed growing up. So I’m just happy to be able to pay back a small fraction of what you have sacrificed for us. I love you momma B !”, he mentioned. It indeed showcased his deep affection for his mother.
Not only this, Chris Boswell’s mom is apparently his biggest cheerleader. And, the NFL player himself revealed through a Mother’s Day post. A few months back, on May, 13, he gave a heartfelt tribute to his mom and his wife, Havana Boswell via an IG post.
“Happy Mother’s Day to my biggest fan and the woman who has never watched me kick a field goal in a game because she gets too nervous for me!! I love you Momma B!” he captioned his post.
Allegedly, not only from his mom, but the former Giants player was also greatly impacted by his dad, Rick Boswell. Reportedly, just like him, his dad was also involved in sports. He was a former street soccer player in Brazil.
Clearly, his dad might have instilled athletic ethics and values in him since his childhood. Even during an interview, Chris also admitted that from playing soccer, he learned the art of placing the ball where he wants it. And, his stellar performance during the NFL game showcases that same.

When the Fort Worth, Texas native entered the league with Houston in 2014, his dad met a major accident. It hugely affected his whole family. But his mom showed great strength.
Reflecting on the mom’s toughest drive, Chris said, “To be married to him for 30 years. And, he had an accident and woke up two weeks later and he’s a completely different person.” Additionally, he went on to appreciate the patience and adjustment shown by his mom in the face of the adversity.
Adding further, he stated, “All of this happened so suddenly. It’s not his fault he changed, it’s not her fault he changed. It was a freak accident. It’s a tough road, but it’s not anything impossible really.” He continued that they are still very much in love with each other as they continue to navigate the difficulties together.
Allegedly, his mom has also taken great care of not just her husband, but Chris and his siblings Stephen Boswell and Kelly Boswell. Thus his mom’s positive mindset and gentleness to overcome the hardships really helped him to shape his athletic journey.
